About Scooch

A room and floor planner for iPhone and iPad, made and supported by one developer.

Who makes it

Scooch is made by one person, Emils Ozols, an indie iOS developer. I design it, build it, test it and answer the support email myself. It is one of six small iPhone apps I make for life's little annoyances, listed on .

Why I built it

We rearrange our apartment every so often or think about an upgrade, and I needed to know if a new wardrobe would actually fit. A tape measure tells you one number. Scooch shows you the whole room with the piece in it.

How it is built

Scooch is written in Swift and runs natively on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo. It needs iOS 26 or later. It launched on the App Store on August 19, 2026, and every release since then is on the What's New page.
